What is a Chemical Peel?
Chemical Peels have been used for decades to revitalize and resurface skin. They involve applying a chemical solution to remove the damaged outer layers of skin and reveal a younger, clearer, more radiant complexion. They are commonly performed on the face, chest and hands.
Light, medium and deep peels penetrate to different levels and, consequently, produce different aesthetic results. Generally, the deeper the peel penetrates, the more profound the results, but the more lengthy the recovery period. An individual's skin type, degree of damage and personal expectations will help determine which chemical peel is most appropriate.
How Does It Work?
The process usually takes 30 to 45 minutes and although some patients' faces may seem a bit pink afterwards, there is no "downtime" and makeup can be applied immediately after the treatment. You can return to your normal schedule right away (though we recommend allowing the skin to breath for up to 24 hours post treatment). Two to three days following an ultra light peel, patients may experience temporary flaking, dryness and scaling, which can be controlled with a topical emollient.

VITALIZE PEEL®

REJUVENIZE PEEL®
Rejuvenize Peel is an advanced formulation of peeling agents, with a built-in anti-irritant and penetration enhancer that provides controlled exfoliation of the uppermost damaged layers of the skin to reveal fresher and healthier skin. Provides predictable results with minimal down time.
- • Produces a moderate amount of peeling lasting for 2-5 days
- • Can be repeated every 4-6 weeks
- • Patients achieve noticeable improvement after 1 peel and significant results after 3 to 6 treatments
- • Deeper than Vitalize Peel (slightly more erythema, burning, expected “frosting”)
Note: One VITALIZE PEEL® may need to be done prior to starting a series of REJUVENIZE PEEL's®
ILLUMINIZE PEEL™
This non-invasive very superficial chemical peel utilizes a novel approach to chemical peeling with a newer generation of alpha-hydroxy acids (mandelic acid and malic acid) in combination with phytic acid and commonly used peeling agents (salicylic acid and resorcinol) to maximize skin rejuvenating effects with low irritation. The Illuminize peel is for normal, dry, oily, combination, aging and sensitive skin.
