Michael Gomez M. D. - Medical Director

Dr. Michael Gomez is a highly trained board certified physician. He has had extensive experience in providing invasive as well as non-invasive procedures and injectables for the past 17 years.

He completed his under graduate Education at Brooklyn College of Pharmacy, and received medical training at St. Vincent's Medical Center and Hospital N.Y., New York, a teaching hospital of New York Medical College.

He has received additional training in body contouring and liposuction, non-surgical cosmetic & laser medicine including Botox, Restylane, Radiesse, Juvaderm, Artefil, Perlane, Mesotherapy, Lipodissolve, and Sclerotherapy.

Dr. Gomez has a personal interest in Anti-aging Medicine; therefore, he is involved in the disciplines of Bio-Hormone Replacement therapy, Nutrition, Detoxification, and Exercise. He is an member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Physicians and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. We are proud to have him as the SKINovative® Medical Director.

Deborah Austin RN aka "Debi” - Clinical Nurse

Debi began her nursing career as a surgical nurse after having graduated with honors in nursing. Now, Debi is an aesthetic industry veteran. Having years of experience working for several top Houston medispas, she is highly trained in aesthetic treatments from laser hair removal to lipodissolve, cosmetic fillers to skin tightening. Debi holds special certifications in Botox, Radiesse, Juvederm, Restylane, Lipodissolve, Laser hair removal, IPL/photofacial, Radio Frequency Skin Tightening and The Portrait. Affectionately dubbed "Houston's Lip Lady" by many of her clients for her tremendous injection skills.

Marti Taylor C.N.O.R., CRNFA - Clinical Nurse

Marti began her career in open heart surgery in 1985 with Dr.Denton Cooley. She is a Board Certified First Assistant in plastic and reconstructive surgery as well as general, vascular, cardiovascular, and gynecological surgery. With 23 years of experience, she was elected to the the Governing Council Board of RNFAs representing and mentoring all RNFAs in Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, New Mexico and Oklahoma in her role as Region VI Representive. Marti has authored publications in medical journals, and is proficient in the use and application of all laser types. Marti performs major surgical procedures with 21 surgeons in the Texas Medical Center and Houston metropolitan area

Phyllis - Office Manager & Laser Technician/Esthetician

Phyllis is our office manager and an esthetician. Phyllis has been in the medcal healthcare industry for many years in different capacities, and has been an office manager in the medical spa industry for the last five years.She graduated for College of the Mainland in esthetics and is new to Skinovative. We look forward to her expertise and her hands on approach to team work. When asked what it means to work at Skinovative, Phyllis replied, " I'm so excited to be a vital part of Skinovative in Houston's Galleria, and working with some of the latest technologies in Houston.

Jennifer – aka “Jenny” - Laser Technicial/Esthetician

Jenny is a licensed esthetician and certified laser technician. After receiving her Esthetics degree from the Aveda Institute, Jenny signed on here at Skinovative. Besides being our resident jokester, Jenny is a born and bred Houstonian. Married with a young son, Jenny does have a large extended family. When asked how big her extended family is, Jenny just says “real big!” Citing one of the reasons Jenny enjoys working at Skinovative, “I get to see the results on our clients. It’s really rewarding to see the improvement and the smile on their face.”

Djenaba – aka “Daj” - Laser Technicial/Esthetician

Daj is a licensed esthetician and certified laser technician. She has lived in several U.S. cities most recently relocating from Fort Lauderdale, FL, but hails from New York City originally. Although being new to Houston, just a few years, she says, “The summers are long and hot, but I’ll take it over the snowy cold winter any day!” Daj says she’s always been interested in skin and thus trained as an esthetician at the Aveda Institute. Recently engaged, Daj is planning her dream wedding to her dream fiancé. Her response to why work at Skinovative, “We really care – and it’s not just about looking good, it’s about feeling good too and we try to help do that through who we are.”

Kathy - Front office

Kathy works as one of our front office staff, scheduling and following up on appointments, sharing information about our services and answering questions when you call or stop in our office. As an eight year veteran of the Teeth Whitening industry Kathy is also our resident teeth whitening expert. The first thing she notice's about someone is their smile. She admits it is somewhat of an obsession, but truly believe's a beautiful smile is one of the best investments a person can make. In her spare time, Kathy loves spending time with her daughters and their, adorable, two dogs. Tiffany, her oldest daughter, is graduating from Auburn University this May and is setting off into the real world. And Victoria is entering her first year of high school.
